My recount.
My fun and boring lockdown.
On 17th August 2021, delta hit New Zealand like how lightning hits a rod, and that's when it all started. The case numbers started increasing, the hospitals started filling up, and then that's when the most horrible thing happened, level four lockdown had begun! I was petrified by the news, in my head I was thinking, "this is horrible, no terrible, no that's not what it is, it's dreadful!" I was tremulous and confused inside, but outside I was just a normal kid, with a normal face. "This is alright", I said , "this is alright, it can't be that bad, can it?" Each night I said to myself "see this isn't so bad." And I was right it wasn't that bad, it was actually quite fun. I got to cook with my mum, play soccer with my family every single day, read more books, watch more tv, and best of all, have movie nights everyday, if I wanted to. Everyday lockdown started to get more, and more fun. I couldn't resist telling myself that lockdown, which at first seemed tedious and dreadful, was now very fun and exciting. That excitement didn't last very long, after a couple of weeks it was back to square one. The only difference is this time I wasn't terrified, bewildered or bored, I was angry and wanted to be with my friends. But on 21 September everything changed, Auckland moved to alert level 3, I started having more hope and getting less angry, the best thing was that case numbers were decreasing. I knew that it was still lockdown, but I didn't actually care anymore, because now I have more hope. Now, instead of feeling sorry for myself, I actually look forward to the next day, hoping that lockdown will end.

How to make a cup of milo with hard chocolate at the top.
Term 3 Week 6
Daily writing tasks.
Every day room 12 has different writing tasks, today room 12's writing was to write a recipe for a food or a instruction manual for making something. This is my one.
How to make a cup of milo with hard chocolate at the top.
Ingredients: Milo powder, Milk.
Equipment: tea spoon, microwave, cup( don't use a plastic or glass cup).
Pour the milk in the cup( only fill up half the cup).
Pour milo so that three quarters of the cup is full.
Put the cup in the microwave for 30 seconds.
When the thirty seconds is over, wait two seconds and put the cup in the microwave for another 30 seconds.
When it's over take the cup out of the microwave and check if the hard chocolate has formed if the hard chocolate formed then there you have it it's done.
If the hard chocolate hasn't formed then add some more milo and make sure not to make the cup full to the top.
After doing that, put it into the microwave for 30 seconds and then it's done.

Daily Writing Task.
Term 3 Week 5
Daily Writing Task.
This week we started doing daily writing tasks, we had to write one paragraph, here is my paragraph.
Deliciousness.
The aroma filled the air, I bit into a crunchy Nacho which made a loud crunching noise as soon as I bit into it. The cream melted in my mouth which made the Nacho a bit soft. As soon as the tender beef reached my mouth flavours burst out. Everything felt like it belonged there, it was perfect. The Nachos sucked in all the flavour, it was almost like it told the beef and cream to give their flavour. Even though Beef Nacho looks simple it's flavours are actually quite complex.

Ako hiko ambassadors.
29.6.21 Term 2 Week 9
Today I went to a meeting, where I learned what a ako hiko ambassador is. A ako hiko ambassador is a person who is in a group, where people share similar goals. Ako hiko ambassadors leave positive comments on people's blogs. They are always aiming for three things, these three things are: achievement, equity and opportunity. A ako hiko ambassador is always supposed to model how to be cybersmart, we have to take things off teacher's plates which doesn't actually mean taking food of teacher's plates, it means taking work off teachers and doing them ourselves. After meetings we have to go to our head teachers and tell them what we did in the meetings, so in my case I have to go tell Miss Corbett or Miss Laxa. We also have to do tasks that are set for us, and this week we are focusing on getting ideas from different people in New Windsor school and doing podcasts with them. I like this role because I think teachers do a lot of work and I love to help. So that's all I know about ako hiko ambassadors but there still might be more things that a ako hiko ambassador has to do.

Chop Suey
10.6.21 Term 2 Week 6
Chop Suey
On Thursday when Room 12 came back from their awesome lunch, there was a surprise waiting for us.Hania's dad, Mr T, was making chop suey for us.He was wearing a pink apron, he had lots of ingredients with him.The ingredients were chicken dipped in sesame oil, frozen vegetables, jasmine rice, vermicelli and lots of sauces etc. the sauces were soy sauce, ABC sauce and oyster sauce. It took a long time to make it and we helped too. When it was finally finished, it's strong aroma filled the air. I literally floated towards it,the chop suey was delicious. It smelt a bit like baked fish and a bit like ramen. It tasted like chinese noodles and because I also got hot sauce it was spicy. The noodles looked like the golden noodles you would get in the ramen in Naruto and the rice was as fluffy as my mum's. The sea of noodles was really slippery and the field of rice was really soft. The sauces really made it delicious because even the vegetables tasted good and they usually don't. It was one of the most delicious foods I had ever had.
The panikeke
10.6.21 Term 2 Week 6
The panikeke
On Friday, Room 12 and 13 ate some Samoan food, there were two foods to choose from. I chose the delicious Panikeke, also known as a round pancake. I had to wait a little because they served the koko alaisa first, which is basically cocoa rice first. When they started serving the Panikeke, I couldn't resist it's delicious aroma. I literally drifted towards it, that's why I was fifth in line I think. The Panikeke was one of the most delicious things I have ever had. It looked like the moon but only a different colour. The outside was a goldish brown colour and the inside was as white as a cloud. When I bit into the scrumptious pancake it made a little crunching noise which I thought was amazing. It was sweet but oily at the same time, which I don't think is easy to combine the two. When I finished I just wanted more and more because it was so delicious but sadly they only let us have one Panikeke.

My awesome blog introduction...
9.6.21 - Term 2 Week 6
My awesome blog introduction...
Talofa, Kia ora, Konichiwa and Salam.
Hi! My name is Raeed, and my favourite colour is metallic blue. My favourite subject is Maths. Ever since I was little, Maths has been kind of easy for me. Cricket is my favourite sport. I'm really good at batting, and i'm kind of good at bowling. I can do some tricks on my trampoline, but i'm not very good at backflipping or front flipping. I can still do side flips though. I can play the keyboard, although I must say, I am just a beginner. My mum is really good at Maths. She taught me everything I know about Maths. My dad is really good at English. He taught me everything I know about English too. One of the things I don't like is drawing.
Also, just saying - i'm a bit of a nerd!
